LETTER 280 – LIFELONG
LIFELONG
© RYAN GUILEY
Seasons came and went,
But we stayed so strong,
Since, we are only meant,
Being together, forever lifelong.
Did they ever get it so wrong?
This is our lives they devoured,
As, they think it’s like ping pong,
As they abused their own powers.
They need to be all accountable,
As this is people’s lives not a fable,
As they can’t honour their own actions,
Trying to break us apart like fractions.
A lesson should never be learnt,
As they knew from day one,
As their toast got so burnt,
As their greed weighed a tonne.
Their mentality is so devious,
People should never trust,
The systems that are one sided,
As they will be confided.
Shame rests upon their shoulders,
With their faces turned to the floor,
As they are pinned with a heavy boulder,
Love conquers, never closing our door.
Your hair shines like a beacon,
As I desire you, as I been seeking,
That this year, will be the year,
That I can wipe your tears.
Holding you, never letting go,
Being through highs and lows,
I will make you feel so secure,
Always being attached, my lovely dear.
