LETTER 257 – BALCONY
BALCONY
© RYAN GUILEY
Nothing will ever break,
Because I am in your blood,
That pumps to your heart,
Something that you feel,
As you lean on my shoulder.
As you gaze in my hazel eyes,
Knowing where you belong,
The closeness is so comforting,
As I hear you, the wait will be over,
I will not want to close my eyes,
Because time is so precious.
Six years, a whole six years,
Gone, except two children,
One who is in our souls,
And the other who is,
Is there for you for me,
To make you enlighten.
The other two, just shine,
As we have missed so much,
Their innocent faces and smiles,
As we could not be a part of,
But, that is going to change,
As no one will control our lives.
As a family, we will flourish,
To the best that we can,
As I will give you that home,
With the balcony that you vision,
Overlooking the houses,
And watching our children grow.
