LETTER 204 – “M”
“M”
© RYAN GUILEY
Those eyes were sparkling,
As you made your marking,
Out of breath, climbing the stairs,
I saw myself reflect with a glare.
It could have been a trick,
But I’m confident like a brick,
That moment when I first saw you,
I was in a daze, as I just knew.
Why would a pail be a ¼ full?
And be lost on the streets,
I get the symbolism with a pull,
As I could feel your heart beat.
Finally, you wrote to me,
My first letter in six years,
It was only two lines to see,
But I love it, as you cared.
You spent over two hours,
To write only two lines,
But, the quality is power,
As I will hold you to be mine.
I figure out the letter “M” flaw,
It’s how you signed your fake last name,
Being trained, but I detected it as I saw,
Just keep Guiley, because it’s fame.
