STOOD TOGETHER

I am missing you,

Sleeping here alone,

Without you tonight,

As I keep thinking of you.

 

I always just wanted,

To be in your life,

But, we got separated,

As our hearts just burn.

 

Our oldest has your eyes,

Who is growing too big,

10 years, as I recall the day,

Being parents, being proud.

 

Our baby girl, who fought,

Just like you and I have,

As now she is like you,

Beautiful and lovely.

 

Our youngest member,

 Who is so adorable,

As I will get a chance,

To see him one day.

 

Who built these tracks?

Waiting, till you are back,

Letting six years go by,

As I’m burning inside.

 

Why did it take so long?

As I listen to our song,

It was never right,

As, I’ll I held on so tight.

 

So many days are gone,

As I always kept our bond,

The deceitfulness of power,

The seasons came to devour.

 

But we always stood together,

Never letting go of the lever,

I took your hand and promise,

The world to you with a kiss.
