Only do you understand,

How many times you lent your hand,

To make sure I was alright,

Whatever I questioned in sight.

 

Countless hours and reassurance,

Giving me to surface without deterrence,

Everything you gave me was a secure answer,

You always did your best, not being fancier.

 

The horrible years that I didn’t function,

Making me choose right at the junction,

I was of never made it without you,

Giving me your care, being so true.

 

Only do you know what it was like,

Anyone else would of told me to take a hike,

But you stayed and protected with care,

Just daily living covering my basis from fear.

 

I want to wipe your cries,

As you never made a remark or a sigh,

I am going to be with you,

Loving you is simple and always new.
